Hey, It's Me!

tniles1

My name is Taylor Niles, I'm 24 and I've moved a lot in my life, changing location every 4 years. I've lived in Georgia, Pennsylvania, Switzerland and Vietnam during my primary and secondary school years. My immediate family is very important to me and we are very close, having experienced constant travel and new environments together. I have a younger brother living in Georgia and an older sister living in California. Now, I live in South Carolina and am in my second year as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at the University of South Carolina. I got my Bachelors in Athletic training and Exercise Science from the University of Georgia. I've had undergraduate clinical rotations at a local high school, UGA Women's Basketball and Soccer, and UGA Spring Football. I also spent a summer interning at Cayuga Medical Center in Ithaca New York. My first year as a graduate assistant I was working as the head athletic trainer at Calhoun Academy, now I work as the head athletic trainer for Northside Christian Academy. My ideal job as an athletic trainer would be to work at an international high school in Europe or Asia.

I have a lot of passions and hobbies not related to Athletic training. In the past year I have learned some basic embroidery skills which I have used to customize sweaters and t-shirts. I love anime, I am currently watching Naruto, Attack on Titan, Toradora and Mob Psycho. I have learned how to paint cartoon/anime characters on glass thanks to tiktok. I enjoy reading and am currently working to read all of Stephen Kings' novels. I have played almost every sport growing up from gymnastics to soccer. My favourite sports, however, are basketball and snowboarding. I played basketball since I was 9 years old and played on a U13, U16, U18 and U21 Swiss national team when living in Switzerland, which gave me the opportunity to travel to other countries, such as France and Austria for tournaments. I learned how to snowboard in 7th grade after moving to Switzerland, and my high school had "ski week" every year, which is when you take a 1-week trip to the alps to ski or snowboard, the first week after winter break. This experience really made me fall in love with the sport and I plan to become a certified snowboard instructor in my lifetime and work some winter seasons at different resorts around the world.

I was given tremendous opportunities to travel and see the world growing up and it's left me wanting to see the rest of the world. My ultimate goal in life is to visit the 7 natural wonders of the world and the new 7 wonders of nature, I have been to 2 already, the Grand Canyon and Halong Bay. I also aspire to visit all the state parks in the US and to visit all 50 states.
